After over 3 decades, The Jeep Gladiator is the first pick-up to be produced since the stop production of the Jeep Commanche in 1992. Never just a Wrangler with a truck bed, the Jeep Gladiator is diligently engineered from the ground up to provide real truck utility, functionality and legendary Jeep capability. UNMISTAKABLE DNA
Fronting the classic seven slotted grilles we have known through the years, the Jeep Gladiator is more than being unconventionally stylish. It is equipped with the Jeep performance LED headlamps and tail lamps which offer better illumination and easily makes the Gladiator more visible. It’s powered by the proven 3.6L Pentastar V6 Engine, 8-speed automatic transmission, giving an output of 285 hp and 352 Nm of torque. The Power Dome Dual Vented Hood helps remove heat from the engine compartment and adds up to the rugged look of the Gladiator. Similar to the Wrangler, the Jeep Gladiator is also equipped with removable aluminium doors, windshield and freedom top which only takes 20 minutes to dismantle. Fun fact, the Gladiator aluminium doors are the same as the Jeep Wrangler. Talk about compatibility.
Those body-colour fenders are big enough to take in a set of 35” tires. Usually offered as an accessory, the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon comes standard with Steel Rear Bumpers and Rock Rails, giving you that additional protection of the rear and extra hold up against the aggressiveness of off-roading. Underneath, the Steel Skid Plates cover up the fuel tank and transfer case, making you worry-free when conquering that challenging terrain.
Another easter egg fun fact? The Gladiator also has ♡419 embedded at the truck bed, which represents Ohio’s country code, the place where these pick-ups are made.
MODERN RUGGEDNESS
The outside looks just as good as the inside. The Gladiator is new but feels familiar. Fronted by one, if not the largest, touchscreen displays found in pick-ups today, the 8.4” Uconnect touchscreen display supports Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Just sync up your iPhone or connect your Android smartphone and integrate your phone with the Gladiator. Besides phone integration, always stay on course with the Voice Command System. Navigate using voice commands and the map of your destination is shown right in your 8.4” Uconnect screen. Fun fact? The rubberized frame of the infotainment system is ready to get wet just in case you’re driving through the rain with the freedom top off. Play your favourite tracks with superior audio quality through the Alpine Premium Audio System. For us, you’ll be hearing Believer by Imagine Dragons blast through as we cruise with the Gladiator.
Besides the infotainment system, the Cluster 7.0 TFT colour display offers a plethora of information regarding the vehicle. It is customizable, allowing you to choose the information most important to be shown at all times. Easter egg fun fact, catch the Gladiator cruise right in the cluster display as you start your vehicle.
Last but not the least, we know that the truck bed is one huge additional storage space but in case you need more, lift up the rear seats and stow more of your things. The Rear Compartment Storage Tray reveals hidden storage where you can securely keep your things intact. The rear seats can be folded 60/40. Flip it down and get a flatbed inside the cabin. All the details of this pick-up are fun and functional indeed.
TECHNOLOGY WITH A HUMAN TOUCH
Underneath the iconic exterior, the All-New Gladiator is equipped with the latest standard and available safety and security technology, tailor-fit to your convenience. Example? Starting the vehicle using the Remote Start System. Two presses on your key fob and be able to start the Gladiator and warm the AC even before getting in. The Jeep Gladiator is a long vehicle. Blind Spot Monitoring uses radar-based sensors that help you detect vehicles and will alert you if one is travelling in your blind spot zone. This feature helps make lane changing and backing out of parking spaces that much safer. Combine it with the ParkView® Rear Back-up camera, there isn’t a space you cannot tackle.
As part of Jeep’s efforts to help the environment, the 3.6L Pentastar V6 Engine comes with the Engine Stop-start system which aims to conserve fuel by shutting down the engine when idle. Stuck in traffic? Turn the ESS on. Don’t like it? Turn the ESS off with a press of a button. It’s that simple.
To earn the trail-rated badge, all Jeep vehicles must conquer a series of gruelling tests over the toughest terrain to prove its ability to withstand harsh conditions and deliver incredible off-road capability. Well, the Gladiator has definitely earned its Trail Rated badge.
Introducing a new feature – the Off-road Plus Mode. Turn it on and adapt to the 4×4 settings of the vehicle, giving bias to either your 4Hi or 4Lo configuration. Partner it up with the Electronic Sway Bar Disconnect for an increased articulation of the front axle. Have the traction control system at your hands with the Tru-Lok Front and Rear Differentials. Turn it on and the vehicle will assist you by locking in the rear or both front and rear, increasing the traction of the vehicle if you’re traversing slippery surfaces. Top it all off with Fox Shocks suspension, the Gladiator is ready for anything.
If you’re not in the extreme off-road mood, turn on the Selec-Speed Control, which is basically an off-road cruise control. It allows the driver to select a set speed and the vehicle does the work to climb over the obstacles. All you have to worry about is the steering.
